University of Bonn awards teaching prizes

The University of Bonn has awarded teaching prizes to 14 teaching staff in recognition of their outstanding work. The prize recipients were chosen by students themselves. Professor Klaus Sandmann, Vice Rector for Teaching, Learning and University Development presented the prize certificates at a ceremony on the Hofgarten lawn in Bonn as part of the Universitätsfest attended by over 7,000 people.

Professor Sandmann thanked the award winners on behalf of the University for their uncommon dedication to teaching, saying: “You, our prize winners, have managed to integrate the latest research and professional skills into your teaching in a productive fashion. You let your students share in your passion for your disciplines, are committed to continuous teaching improvement and exceed expectations on a regular basis.”
